Trip to the West 2008 - July 5th

Day 1 - It's finally here! Busta and Anna were up with the birds (including me) and were ready to go at 6:45. Wanda wasn't quite ready, so we hand to kill some time before we picked her up. Busta and Anna got ice for the cooler. At least, that's what I gathered. Someone stuck me with his "man purse" (ahem ... Busta) and I got buried in with his camera, trip itinerary and other assorted "manly" stuff (I didn't notice any barbells, though ...)


Anyway, when Wanda got in the car, she graciously took me out and placed me on the seat so that I was perched over Busta's right shoulder. I couldn't see anything to the left due to Busta's girth, but the windshield view was fantastic!




So we started our trip. From what they were talking about, our destination for today was Sterling, Colorado. Sounds exciting! Let's go!


Iowa was amazing! Corn as far as my beady little eyes could see! Good thing the windows were up, as I might've flown out and had my fill on that lovely corn!


I had almost drowned in my own drool before we got to Nebraska. Of course, I was in chicken heaven when we got to Nebraska. So much space to fly! I want out of the car! Let me out of the car! And they let me out! Silly fools! Wait a minute? I don't know where your hands been, Wanda! Fine, I'll take a picture, but I'm not going to like it!




OK, so I like having my picture taken. When I got back in the car, they were playing their incessant "CDs". And when there 60's CDs were done, they would turn to the radio that was playing the same songs! How bizarre?


Actually, what was bizarre was the fact that Busta's car was a weather-controlling car. When the windshield wipers were on, the rain stopped. When the windshield wipers were off, it started to rain. And apparently it only rains when it's sunny in Nebraska? Very odd.


Soon we were in Colorado, home of the Pony Express. They let me out again. Now's my chance! Freedom! Wait a minute? Anna, I definitely don't know where your hands have been! Fine, but I'm not going to like it!








OK, so I like it! What is the deal with that!

We got to Sterling, Colorado around 6 PM. They left me so they could got eat dinner, and when they got back, I was in the middle of getting ready for bed. They wouldn't leave me alone!

Trip to the West 2008 - July 3rd & July 4th

Well, I'm back from the West. Busta and the Girls really gave me a workout! I was losing feathers left and right, we were hiking all over the place! But I'm back in one piece. Thankfully.

Oh, you want to know what happened on the trip? Well, let me recap for you:

Day 00 (Thursday night, July 3rd): From what I gathered from the calls that Busta kept getting on his phone, there was a man with a gun at where he worked (some kind of farm, from what I gathered). Thankfully, his boss let him off early, so were on the road when the maniac got into the building. Hopefully no one was hurt!

Day 0 (July 4th):

Today was a very relaxing day. Busta was chilling at Anna's house, so that's where I stayed all day long. For the most part, it was relaxing. There was one incident, though:

Who knew that Anna would be such a horrible person? Well, at least it wasn't someone I knew (I think). Anyway, here are some of the pictures of me hanging out at the Casa de Anna:

Chilling with Busta

Sven has passed me off to Busta as apparently I'm a handful for him. That works out great, as Busta, Anna and Wanda are taking me on their vacation to the Grand Canyon. Busta has told me that Wanda is going to fricasee me in the back seat. I think that's a good thing? Anyway, I'm getting my stuff together for the trip. Here's what I have so far:

• Egg Beater
• Vat of Oil
• Paas Easter Egg coloring kit (for when I'm bored in the car)
• The other side of the road (travel size)
• Feather Boa

Vacation Is Coming

OK! I am still ticked off at Sven and Risa. They went camping and to the Drive In over the week end and do you think they took me? No! So I have decided to ditch them for there California Vacation and go with Busta and the gang. I hear Busta is renting a car so it should be safe. If you will have me. and promise to take lots of pic's with me.

So much for Chicago!

I was supposed to go to Chicago with Sven and Risa yesterday. They took off and "forgot" me. Sven shoved me in the closet and they took off. That really ruffled my feathers! I was so looking forward to it. They had the nerve to tell me how much fun they had and that they had lunch at Pizzeria Uno deep dish pizza yada yada yada mmmm good. All I have to say is I better not get left behind again!

Update

I am getting back to my normal self. I have come to terms with the whole thing. So I think I will start getting ready for my summer. I think I will be going to Chicago this weekend and California in July. If there is any place any of you are heading off to this summer and would be willing to let me tag along and take a few pic's I'd be glad to, if schedules permit.
